Dear Colleagues,
The Reproductive Medicine Center of Peking University Third Hospital will hold the 21st Training Course on Reproductive Endocrinology and Assisted Reproductive Technology from March 15 to 17, 2019.
Since 1989, our center has successfully organized twenty training courses, aiming to disseminate frontier knowledge in reproductive endocrinology and promote the latest advances in assisted reproductive technology. With the support of domestic and international experts and the participation of peers, the training courses have played a major role in the establishment and development of reproductive medicine in China.
This year’s program, in addition to plenary lectures on fundamental theories and new progress, will feature hands-on training in reproductive minimally invasive surgery, embryo biopsy and vitrification in clinical embryology laboratories, as well as basic research techniques in reproductive medicine. These practical courses are designed to consolidate theoretical knowledge and enhance technical skills.
Plenary Sessions will cover six modules: Minimally invasive surgery theory, Basic research theory, Assisted reproductive technology theory, Andrology theory, Clinical reproductive medicine theory, Nursing theory. The program will address frontier topics and hot issues across all branches of reproductive endocrinology and assisted reproductive technology. Not to be missed!
Honorary Presidents: Qiao Jie, Liu Ping
Conference President: Li Rong
Vice Presidents: Ma Caihong, Jiang Hui
Featured Practical Courses
I. Hysteroscopy Training
The minimally invasive surgery course focuses on hysteroscopy simulation training, including VR hysteroscopy practice, GESA HYSTT hysteroscopy coordination skill training, and IBS intrauterine resection system training. Small-group teaching will be adopted, with hands-on instruction.
II. Laboratory Practical Courses (Five Options)
1. IVF Laboratory Practical Training
With the development of PGT, more centers are applying embryo biopsy to help patients avoid hereditary diseases and improve pregnancy chances. This course includes blastocyst biopsy and vitrification/warming, covering principles, steps, and cautions, with demonstrations and hands-on practice.
2. Ovarian Tissue Cryopreservation and Thawing
As a novel fertility preservation method, ovarian tissue cryopreservation offers unique advantages. This training aims to promote and accelerate clinical translation. Participants will receive intensive training under the guidance of experts.
3. Quantitative Analysis of Gene Expression
Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qPCR) is widely used in molecular biology. This course combines theory and practice, guiding participants through principles, workflow, troubleshooting, and hands-on data collection and analysis.
4. Oocyte Immunofluorescence Staining & Confocal Microscopy Imaging
This course demonstrates oocyte collection, fixation, staining, mounting, antibody selection, background elimination, and confocal imaging techniques.
5. Granulosa Cell Isolation from Human Follicular Fluid
This training provides practical techniques for isolating and culturing granulosa cells and follicular fluid, essential for ovarian function research and reproductive disease studies.
This training course is a National Continuing Medical Education Program (6 credits).
We sincerely invite all colleagues to participate, exchange knowledge, and share academic achievements. We look forward to meeting you in early spring in Beijing!
